Aviation Police Bureau About us: Divisions Safeguard – This division is tasked with emergency operations and non-emergency responses in safeguarding at the non-controlled area, controlled area, apron area, cargo area, round-airport area, and administration area. In addition to normal day-to-day field operations, this division maintains a Traffic Section responsible for maintaining smooth traffic during peak hours at the airport, providing strict regulations against automobiles that serve customers illegally, and ensuring passengers safety. Security Inspection – This division is to maintain flight safety and prevent importation of illegal or controlled articles. It maintains a specialized team of Taishan bomb squad to deal with high-risk emergency situations and other non-standard operations. The Taishan bomb squad has specialized training to handle explosives in unidentified articles and abandoned luggage. "Peace Maneuver" emergency response program is activated in case of aircraft hijacking and perpetration of violence. Investigations – This division investigates and solves crimes against thefts, smuggling and trafficking in persons, firearms, or drugs. Officers working for this brigade belong to either the Forensics or Narcotics Sections. Forensic officers work both at the crime scenes and in the lab. Narcotics officers conduct operations related to illegal substances at the terminals and air cargo areas. General Administration – This division is tasked with the day to day management of the bureau's personnel and information infrastructure. It consists of six sections (Administrative, International Affairs, Logistics, Public Security, Internal Affairs & Training and Aviation Security), two offices (Accounting and Personnel), and a Command & Control Center.
